Bringing Color to the Community: Mural Magic at the SOLAR Hub Building

Georgetown, SC has a fresh burst of color, thanks to a powerful collaboration between local talent and a visiting visionary. Under the creative leadership of Ebony Hughes—affectionately known as the Oracle—a vibrant new mural now graces the walls of the SOLAR Hub building whose programming is by 7 Dimensions. Ebony, a community activist and entrepreneur whose work ripples through Georgetown like the butterfly effect she so beautifully embraces, brought together two young artists for this bold and uplifting project.

The mural, located adjacent building’s the solar canopy, was designed and primarily painted by Ari Azizy, a mural artist from Miami who is deeply inspired by the street art culture that surrounds him. Enrolled in both Florida Virtual School and the Savannah College of Art and Design’s virtual program, Ari brings a unique blend of formal training and streetwise creativity to his work. His design transformed the wall into a dynamic visual narrative, full of movement, color, and heart.

Local artist Rose West joined Ari in bringing the mural to life. A sophomore at Waccamaw High School and a fellow of the CEW Collaborative, Rose brought her own perspective and talent to the collaboration. Known for her emotionally resonant portraiture, Rose has participated in numerous art programs and exhibits, including a group show at the South Carolina Maritime Museum and a Superintendent’s Art Show win for her 3D piece Monster Juice. Though she is typically drawn to portraits, Rose stepped into the mural world with grace, supporting Ari’s vision with her brush and creative spirit.

Together—with Ebony’s vision, Ari’s design, and Rose’s local insight—the mural at 7 Dimensions stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, mentorship, and creative expression. Stop by and see what happens when young artists are given space to shine.
